When Things Begin to Shift
Well here we are, about a week into our retrograde season, how are you doing? I have been having some great, productive, days of ease and grace. While I attribute some of this to the fact that Mercury is my ruling planet so life simply slows down for me. I would say it’s mostly because I left a job in March that took up an enormous amount of my time.
While releasing myself from that obligation freed up a lot of my personal energy, I still have a lot going on. I am at the end of the third term of my first year of Spiritual Practitioner studies, I am releasing a new certification program in June (more on that later), plus I have a new television project in the works (details soon to come), and I’m thankfully continuing my work with private clients.
Interestingly, I often find this retrograde that happens closest to my birthday as almost restful. Generally, things are moving faster than I’d like in late Spring. People are more revved up and kind of raring to go. It’s the feeling of everything and everyone waking up from Winter’s slumber. The Vernal Equinox brings more light to our days and everything starts speeding up. And honestly, after COVID put so many things on hold, I feel this spring has been particularly frenetic!
So, this late spring retrograde comes as an energetic pause during a time of accelerating energy. It’s time for a full and proper breath.
We had the Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse late Sunday/early Monday, did you see it, celebrate it, or sleep through it? A friend of mine said that every full moon she’s always kind of revved up and she doesn’t sleep much, which usually means she’s tired the next day. This one she said that she felt awake and in harmony. I love it! We had a lot of cloud cover around my house, so I couldn’t see it, but I could definitely feel it! I had a rejuvenating full moon ritual with my spouse, even though we couldn’t watch the eclipse. This is definitely a powerful time! Do you remember what I said about the FMLE in the previous blog? Pick up that citrine…
Say it with me - I AM confident and courageous.
I ain’t afraid of no ghosts from my past!
I am here to actualize higher consciousness.
I’ve got too much shining to do, to be eclipsed by old emotions and old ways of thinking about myself.
~ Here’s The Thing ~
The Thing is we are the ones responsible for how we are affected by the shifts and changes in life. The question I asked last week I’ll ask again - What will you release so you can focus more light on your vision?
Before the next New Moon on May 30 and Mercury goes direct on June 3, what are you releasing? How can you hold more closely to your vision? This time of stillness, slowness, retrograde is here to help us be less active and more thoughtful. It is here to help us think before we act. It is here to help you go within and see your light shining through your self-imposed darkness.
Whatever has been hidden is being revealed. Whatever has been lying dormant is waking up. Whatever you need, you will finally see that you’ve had it all along.
The shift is upon us. Get still. Embrace it. Shine your light!
